The polyurethane resins within our product portfolio are designed for solvent-based flexographic and rotogravure printing inks.

The resins are categorized based on their specific functions and chemical makeup.

These products are high molecular weight, flexible non-reactive polyurethane polymers with excellent film forming characteristics.

All substances listed below have been pre-registered with REACH.

All film forming polyurethanes listed are clear with a color of 3 max on the Gardner scale and contain 0% free NCO.

SOLVENT MDI AROMATIC PLASTICIZERS

Resins in this category are soft, plasticizing and non-migrating. All are fully soluble in alcohol and exhibit excellent heat, oil, fat, grease and moisture resistance while promoting solvent release in nitrocellulose based surface print applications.

SOLVENT MDI AROMATIC SEMI FILM FORMERS

Resins in this category have a high isocyanate content which imparts increased resistance properties similar to the KP 1035 – KP 1055 with the addition of chemical resistance. All can be used to plasticize and modify nitrocellulose and all evidence exceptional gloss and adhesion in laminating systems. 20% modification with KF 2070 is recommended for ideal printing and resolubility properties. A titanate cross-linker should be incorporated at the appropriate level. Starting point formulas and test data available upon request.
