Resistall products are furnished as a two part system which cures by heat with the addition of a catalyst.

Formulated for application by either gravure or flexographic printing equipment, it is furnished in conventional flexo solvents. Resistalls can be cured at low web temperatures (around 85°C) and provide outstanding gloss over printed and unprinted surfaces such as paper, films, board or foil.

Resistalls are designed to have a low coefficient of friction making the dried film suitable for use on automatic packaging machinery. The odor level of the cured coating is very low.

Resistalls are thermoset catalyzed overprint varnishes. They are used as the topcoat on paper or foil to protect the ink. They exhibit high gloss, good chemical resistance, good mar and scuff resistance to yellowing.

These products are specifically developed for flexible packaging ink applications, and are recommended for reverse printing and lamination applications, where the increased adhesion offers particular benefit in achieving optimum inter-laminar bond strength.
